I often get the following question this time of year:  "Is it OK to list in the fall/winter or should I wait until spring."  Well, it depends.  Do you need to sell (job move, etc), is your house in selling condition, is your selling price in line with the market, etc?  Our local inventory of homes for sale is at a low as compared to recent years.  I am seeing a lot of buyer activity, especially with the possibility of interest rates rising in the near future.  I've recently had sellers receive multiple offers.  Also, it's my experience that buyers in the fall and winter tend to be very serious buyers.  Why would they trek around in the snow during the holiday season to look at houses if they weren't serious?  So, the bottom line is that if your house is in selling condition, it's a perfect time to sell.
